Doohamlet Community Centre Redevelopment Funding

English Irish Text Logo

In 2019/2020 Doohamlet Community Centre underwent a major redevelopment with a value of over €800,000. The project completely modernised the existing building, and constructed an extension with reception area, new meeting room, new kitchen and new toilets. The whole building is now more energy efficient, providing a comfortable and welcoming space for use by everyone in Doohamlet, wider County Monaghan and the northeast region.

Doohamlet Community & Resource Centre would like to thank all of our project funders, particularly;

  • The Monaghan Leader Rural Development Programme – Funding of €500,000 received.
  • Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport ‘Sports Capital Programme 2018’ – Funding of €41,056 received.
  • The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland ‘Support Scheme for Renewable Heat’ – Funding of €13,422 received.
  • Monaghan County Council for their annual support through the Community Development Grants.
  • The generosity of Doohamlet’s local people and our wider business community, without whom we would not have the match funnding available to deliver such an ambitious project.
